Welcome to Logic Psychology providing psychological therapies for adults. The therapeutic approach is eclectic with predominant influence from Cognitive Behavior Therapy(CBT). Dialectical Behavior Therapy(DBT), Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing Therapy (EMDR), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy(ACT), mindfulness based approaches and parts work from Schema informed therapy and Internal Family Systems (IFS) informed therapy.

Lavanya is a Clinical Psychologist with over 12 years of experience. She has worked in both private and public sectors in Australia.

Yes, after-hours and weekend appointments available on request.
Yes. Intensive therapy involves either longer duration (90 minutes to 3 hours compared to standard 50 minutes session) or more frequent sessions ( 2-3 times a week rather than fortnightly/monthly). This could potentially be beneficial for clients with complex issues or not benefiting from less frequent sessions or simply someone who wants to have more sessions to increase the chances of noticing changes sooner. Generally trauma-informed therapies including EMDR is provided for processing past traumatic experiences.
Client would need a standard session or discovery call to assess the suitability for intensive session.

Fees
The fees listed/charged is not a reflection of the psychologist's skills, experience nor training nor is it in line with recommendation of APS (Currently at $ 318) but more a reflection of the values we hold in making therapy accessible and affordable to as many people as possible.
Mar - April 2026 Offer.
Less than $5 gap fees for Older Adults with Pensioner's Concession card and valid MHTP*. Upfront fees of $150 payable on the date of session with $145.25 Medicare rebate with a valid MHTP.
$35 Gap fees for Concession card Holders*.
Upfront fees of $180 payable on the date of session with $145.25 Medicare rebate with a valid MHTP.
$65 Gap fees for New Clients*.
Upfront fees of $210 payable on the date of session with $145.25 Medicare rebate with a valid MHTP.
*First session before 30th April 2026 with a Valid Mental Health Treatment Plan. Offer valid as long as the same visible on Website.
Standard 50 minute consultation fees - $ 230 ( Gap fee of 84.75 after Medicare rebate of 145.25 with an eligible Mental Health Care Plan and Referral).
Additional charges - 1.6 % card fees if paying using debit/credit card. No fees if direct payment to account/pay id.
NDIS _ plan-managed and self-funded - As per the current NDIS rates.
3rd party funding agency fees - as per their current rates including for WorkCover, MAIB etc
Couples therapy ( 50 minutes) - $ 250 (no rebates).
Option available to book 2 or more continuous blocks in same day.
Intensive therapy - Corresponding pro-rata fees or in blocks of 50 minutes.
